How do I create Release Groups?

This article will tell you where to go within the Clover Web Dashboard to create and control Release Groups.

1) Go to eu.clover.com or clover.com depending on the region you wish to amend the Release Groups for.

2) Once logged in you should see the below screen. If you don't there will be a dropdown in the top left. Click on this and navigate to Loylap Dashboard.

3) Using the column on the left hand side select Release Groups. That will take you to the below page.

4) Selecting a Release Group from here will allow you to amend an existing group. Selecting New Release Group will allow you to make a new one and take you to the below screen.

The name of the group should be an identifier of what the group is designed to do and the APK is setting the app and version number you will be assigning to this group. In this example we will be assigning a version of Order Ahead.

Hit save and you'll go to the below screen.

5) Now the group and APK have been set you need to assign merchants to the release group. Hit the Add Merchant option and you will see the below image slide out from the left hand side of the screen. You can also use this to add to an existing Release Group should you have clicked into one.

Here we have gone to add a specific merchant rather than a random number of our merchant base. You can search via the name of the account or the Clover ID/External MID. Hit save once you are happy with the list. You can always add more later by hitting Add Merchant from the previous screen again.

Here you can see the list of merchants that are now in the group. The install should automatically initial of the new App version provided the device is connected to the internet.
