How to Set Up a Merchant for Self Checkout

Using the below article you will be able to set up a merchant for self checkout as well as identify which method works best for them.

1) Log into the admin portal and find the merchant you need to enable Self Checkout for.

2) Once you have clicked into the merchant navigate to Branches, select the required Branch.

Once done the got to Info, Settings & Self Checkout.

3) The type of Self Checkout is dictated by 'Display type'. You can also input a web URL in the 'Welcome Image' field to display on the Clover POS.

Customer facing where categories and items appear on screen for the user to select. Images can also be associated to these within the business portal.

daa_fast_track - 

This is only used since Dublin Airport. This also uses a specific app version (1.1.290) You will find the display type needs to be set on the merchant & branch level.

archdicese_donations - 

The donations mode is primarily used by churches

fixed_items -

This is the older Scan & Go legacy mode based on app version 1.0.151. This will work with the scanner in the Clover device or with an external scanner outlined in the following video:
