Setting Up Clover Label Printing

Merchants will sometimes want to have certain items only print to certain printers. E.G Food to a Kitchen & Drinks to the Bar

1) Within their Clover inventory a Label will need to be created. It is best advised to make these clear for their printing purpose so Kitchen & Bar and advised. Labels can be set up either on the POS within the Inventory app or on the Clover Dashboard.

2) Once the Labels have been created then the appropriate items will need to be applied to these labels. This can be completed in bulk via the Clover Dashboard by access the Printer Labels and then Editing the Label in question. A list view of the inventory will be visible, so tick the items that need to be applied to the Label.

3) Now that the labels have been set, they need to be assigned to the Order Printers on the Primary Device that is used for the Order Ahead app. The Printers app will need to be opened on the Clover POS. All of the printers will show in a list, the merchant will need to tap on one of the Order Printers listed to assign a label to it.

The available labels will show as tickable options, only tick the label that needs to be assigned to the specific printer.

This will need to be repeated for the number of printers and labels as needed.

4) Now that the labels have been configured and set up, we need to ensure that the option within the Order Ahead app is enabled to allow for Clover Label printing. The merchant will need to tap on the 3 dots in the top right and then into Preferences. Then enable the setting show below:
