The direct debit link won't open when I try add it as my businesses payment method

Our direct debit service, Gocardless, for security requires that your sensitive bank information be filled in a separate page which appears as a pop up. If this is not appearing, you are most likely using a Mac computer and the Safari bowser

To get the pop up to appear, simply click on the icon that looks like a card which will appear in your browser search bar after you click to create the Direct Debit.
